A 25-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman and grievous bodily harm following a violent incident in Luton.
The tragedy occurred on 20 January at a property on Turners Road North, where 46-year-old Dianne Cleary tragically lost her life after what Bedfordshire Police described as “an altercation.”
Alongside the death of Dianne Cleary, another woman in her 20s sustained injuries during the same incident.
Bedfordshire Police responded swiftly to the scene, where they initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation and the subsequent injuries.
Jacob Clark, aged 25, from Skelton Close in Luton, was charged with the murder of Dianne Cleary and grievous bodily harm in connection with the attack.
He appeared at Luton Crown Court and is scheduled to return for a plea hearing on 28 April. A potential trial date has been set for 26 August.
