A Scottish man has tragically lost his life while serving as a medic on the frontline with the Ukrainian army, his family has confirmed.
Jordan Maclachlan, 26, from Ardnamurchan in the West Highlands, died on Friday during his service in Ukraine.
His family released a heartfelt statement expressing their pride in his dedication to helping others.
“Jordan always believed that he was making a difference and we are all so proud of him helping others,” the statement read.
“Jordan was a fun-loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and a friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”
The family is currently awaiting further details from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), noting that available information remains limited.
An FCDO spokesperson stated, “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Ukraine and are in contact with the local authorities.”
