A man has been detained on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a 45-year-old woman’s body in a London residence.
Police responded to a call concerning a disturbance at a home on Jubilee Road, Ealing, at approximately 1:40 am, where they encountered the critically injured woman.
Despite immediate first aid efforts by the officers, the woman was declared deceased shortly thereafter.
A 49-year-old man was apprehended at the scene and is presently undergoing questioning at a police station in West London.
“This incident deeply saddens me, and I am certain it impacts our local community profoundly. We have a suspect in custody, and while our inquiries are still in the preliminary stages, it appears that the suspect had prior acquaintance with the deceased,” stated Detective Sergeant Rebecca Reeves.
Authorities have established a police cordon around the site, and additional patrols are in place to provide community support.
The exact cause of the woman’s death remains undetermined at this stage.
