Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a collision involving a car and a bus near Heathrow Airport last night, with both vehicles subsequently catching fire.
The incident occurred on Bedfont Road in Feltham around 11:55 p.m., involving a silver Mercedes. The three passengers in the car were declared deceased at the scene, whilst a fourth occupant was hospitalised.
Two passengers from the bus, which was operating the H26 service to Hatton Cross tube station, were also taken to A&E. Fortunately, their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, fire crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and a hazardous area response team, were promptly dispatched to the scene.
The Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade were also in attendance, and the fire was successfully extinguished by 1:41 a.m. on Tuesday.
