A murder investigation is underway after a woman was tragically killed and two men were injured in a shocking triple shooting in Harlesden, northwest London. Metropolitan Police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 9:15 PM on Saturday in Gifford Road.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman, believed to be in her 40s, with severe injuries. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men, both in their 30s, also sustained gunshot wounds. One remains in critical condition in the hospital, while the other’s injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
Community on Edge as Investigation Continues
Road closures remain in effect around the crime scene as police intensify their investigation. So far, no arrests have been made.
Superintendent Tony Josephs from the North West Command Unit called the shooting a “truly shocking incident” and acknowledged the impact on the local community.
“This heinous act of violence has left a woman dead and two others injured,” Josephs said. “We understand the concern this will cause both locally and across London.”
He added, “A team of experienced detectives is working at pace to piece together the events and identify those responsible. If you were in or around Gifford Close at the time of the shooting or have any information about the suspects, please contact us immediately.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Authorities are urging anyone with information or witnesses to come forward. “A family has been left devastated, and we need to work together to provide them with answers,” Josephs emphasized.
The investigation continues as detectives gather evidence to uncover the events that led to the deadly shooting.
