Two individuals, including a 91-year-old man, have been charged in connection with child sex offences at a Halifax children’s home dating back more than 30 years.
The charges are part of a broader investigation into abuse at Skircoat Lodge Children’s Home between 1970 and 1995, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.
Details of Charges Against Malcolm Phillips
Malcolm Phillips, 91, from Tyseley, Birmingham, faces 32 charges, including rape and indecent assault. The allegations involve seven victims and span from 1976 to 1994.
Charges Against Linda Brunning
Linda Brunning, 65, of Sowerby Bridge, has been charged with 15 offences, including sexual assault. These charges relate to three victims and cover a period between 1980 and 1994.
Court Appearance Scheduled
Both Phillips and Brunning are due to appear before Bradford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. Their charges come after an extensive inquiry launched in 2018 to investigate allegations of abuse at Skircoat Lodge Children’s Home.
