Organized by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the forum runs from 26 to 28 November at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.
The event has drawn global leaders in aviation, legal experts, and regulators to discuss critical legal and regulatory developments shaping the future of international aviation. High-profile speakers include ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar, UK Civil Aviation Authority CEO Rob Bishton, and the Department for Transport’s Director General for Aviation.
Highlighting Key Aviation Challenges
The forum’s agenda includes panels on sustainability, the role of artificial intelligence in aviation, and the judicial use of safety data. This year’s gathering coincides with ICAO’s 80th anniversary of the Chicago Convention, a landmark agreement that has defined international aviation standards since 1944.
The proceedings began on 25 November with an opening reception led by Sir Stephen Hillier, Chair of the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
Rob Bishton, Chief Executive of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, highlighted the importance of the forum, stating: “As we gather for the Civil Aviation Legal Advisers Forum, I am reminded of the pivotal role that legal advisors play in the aviation sector.
