A seven-year-old girl has tragically died following a crash involving two cars near Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
The collision occurred on Friday, 3 January 2025, at approximately 17:45 GMT, on the B1202 Metheringham Heath Lane, south of Lincoln.
The crash involved a blue Kia and a white Citroen, resulting in the young girl suffering severe injuries. Emergency services attended the scene, where the girl was treated before being rushed to the hospital.
Despite efforts to save her, she passed away just before 04:30 on Saturday, 4 January. Another individual sustained serious injuries in the crash, while two others were reported to have sustained minor injuries.
Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that their investigation into the incident is ongoing. The B1202, which connects Metheringham with the A15, has now reopened, but authorities are still gathering evidence.
